This is me at the Ebro River Canyon near Burgos, Spain.

About Me:
My name is Chris Showers and I am a 25 year old recent college graduate from the USA who, after graduating from college, moved to Burgos, Spain to carry out work under a scholarship with the Ministerio de Educación of Spain.  My college degree is in the teaching of foreign languages and Spanish; thus, I am a licensed Spanish teacher in the state of Pennsylvania.  Here in Spain I work as an English teacher and Spanish/English translator.

My Life in Spain:
I’m originally from Pennsylvania, USA; however, this is the third time that I have lived in Spain.  My first trip to the country took place in 2003 when I went to Madrid for a summer.  I later returned to Spain to study — that time I was in the city of Valladolid.  Now I’m living in Burgos and teaching English at a local public high school.

About this Website:
I created this site in 2007 before moving to Burgos largely because I wanted to have some type of “tangible” (well, as tangible as a webpage can be) documentation of my life outside the USA.  Originally, the website was private (for my friends and family only) and then I later made it public.

Right now, the site is in its second version with an updated layout and more innovative theme design.  I add new features to the site often so you may wish to check back once or twice a week to see what’s new.  You also may be interested in subscribing to email updates of my site or subscribing to my RSS feed or you can follow me on Twitter.

If you have any further questions or comments about this site, please check out the FAQ or send me an email.
